Job Description

JOB PRIMARY PURPOSE

To perform systems and business analysis as well as documentation, implement, customize, maintain computer systems, and support end users to ensure that appropriate systems are installed and are functional in users personal computers in line with identified needs. To communicate business requirements, support user testing to achieve business goals, continually seek opportunities to increase client satisfaction, and effectively manage client expectations.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Identify areas for the development of technical solutions to automate and/or improve business processes, and provide recommendations on new or enhanced systems, software, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Document and analyze business requirements provided by the Bank, relating to received service requests or an incident that has occurred.
  • Analyze and detect system vulnerabilities on relevant system servers, as well as the applications, and ensure that all threats are mitigated timeously.
  • Participate and collaborate in IT projects planning and implementation according to the project management guidelines, approach, and requirements of IT projects.
  • Perform root cause analysis on incidents to identify problems to ensure that quality and permanent solutions that meet the business requirements are provided.
  • Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders within and outside the Bank, ensuring that the IT service and systems status meet the needs of all stakeholders.
  • Ensure that changes affecting IT systems take place in a controlled and auditable manner, in accordance to adopted change and quality management policies or best practice.
  • Develop test scripts in collaboration with Senior Business Analysts, and ensure all changes go through rigorous quality assurance, including unit, integration, user acceptance testing, and test results, before changes are migrated to the production environment.
  • Coordinate and conduct user training sessions; develop and update user documentation, written instructions, training guides, manuals, and materials for users, and recommend possible business solutions.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer/Data Science, Information Systems, Informatics, or relevant equivalent qualification.
  • Three (3) - Four (4) years’ relevant experience in an IT environment particularly having worked in Systems Development and Programming.
  • Experience in working with Systems analysis and documentation using standard industry tools would be an added advantage.
